A complimentary hot breakfast is served each morning. I believe this hotel that changed names recently needs a complete makeover.Just off Interstate 29 and less than 5 miles from Kansas City International Airport, this Missouri hotel features guest rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. About the only positive thing I can say about this hotel is the bed was comfy even though the pillows were small and Cindy that checked us in was very nice. The TV is small for a hotel room these days. The first floor rooms have a sliding glass door to the outside but no chairs so what is the point of that? The decor in the room has definitely been there awhile. I guess the baseball families had used it all. However when I went to pour some it was empty. There was no coffee maker in the room so when we were checking out, I saw coffee in the lobby. I was not told the bistro in the lobby was closed. I had asked when I booked if the indoor pool and hot tub was open and was told it was closed due to roof leak. Needless to say the noise level was not ideal for a relaxing night. After check-in we discover there was a kids baseball tournament at the fields nearby so the hotel was packed with baseball players and their families. We booked a room for an anniversary getaway on May 29, 2021. A quick in and out? Then it is near the airport and interstate. SURPRISE! Can anyone remember a place that doesn't have a morning coffee available? Make your own in the room. Pool was open in response to a previous review, but we choose to not use it. ALTHOUGH we noticed a Waffle House about 100 yards away across the parking lot. How old are they? At these prices for what was available, plus prepackaged a good guess would be months. They offer 4 choices of prepackaged food ranging from $8 to $12. asked about breakfast? Well, we were told something along the lines of "sort of" without using the words. When asking about a soda, discovered ti was nearly $4. He was helpful and enjoyable to talk to also helpful. Lobby was empty, but the desk had 2 people standing there and the younger of the 2 helped us. When we made the final turn could see the sign, but not from even the interstate exit. there is no large sign showing you where to go, or where it is. Had never heard of this brand, but obviously don't travel in the places it owns places.
